Their focus is to reclaim their titles as the Queens of Hip-Hop as they manage their personal lives and careers in efforts to relaunch their careers. If your not familiar with these ladies let us help get you caught up..

MC Smooth MC Smooth broke on to the scene in 1990 with her first album titled Smooth & Legit and I was immediately sold. Her 1993 hit ”You Been Played,” was featured on the soundtrack to Menace II Society and quickly helped Smooth make her mark in the game and place her on the list of one of my femcee favorites.  Her next album also titled “You Been Played“ was released in 1993 on Jive Records/TNT and produced was packed with a list of classic joints that still knocks til this day.  Smooth’s third album was released in 1995 and featured a cameo appearance by Tupac Shakur, its lead single “Mind Blowin“ was a radio smash and  MC Smooth became the first female rapper to mix rapping with singing and the first to sell sex and raunchy lyrics. MC Smooth later went on to drop the “MC” from her name and made an alternative R&B album titled “Reality” that pushed out the sexy slow jam and biggest hit to date ”Strawberries”.

Fire spitter Yolanda Whitaker aka Yo-Yo is the Grammy nominated femcee hailing straight from Cali. She busted on to the scene back in the early 90′s as the protege to West Coast legend Ice Cube. Her music often denounced the frequent sexism found in hip-hop music and Yo-Yo definitely has been able to hold her own in the male dominated world of Hip Hop. Yo-Yo first appeared as a guest on Ice Cube’s Amerikkka’s Most Wanted album in 1990 on the track “It’s a Man’s World” and released her smash debut album Make Way For The Motherload  shortly after. The rapstress went on to release her follow-up album Black Pearl and 1996′s Total Control, then in 1998 she finished her fifth album Ebony

Yo-Yo is currently running the Youth program titled “Yo-Yo’s School of Hip-Hop.”
